Meritus is proud to support over 130 active Scholars who are attending the college of their choice. Meritus Scholars come from a wide variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, reflecting the diversity of the San Francisco public schools. Many Scholars are the first in their family to attend college, and most Scholars would have been unable to attend college without the financial assistance of their four-year Meritus scholarship.

Meritus Scholars attend the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) campuses, as well as private colleges across the country. Scholars' majors include pre-med, art, journalism, psychology, history, sociology, law and many others.

Meritus scholarship awards are sent to the scholar each February and July for four years, provided the Scholar maintains a minimum 2.25 cumulative grade point average and attends college full-time. Scholars correspond with their donors twice each year, providing an update about their college experience. Scholars also send a copy of their academic transcript to Meritus at the end of each academic semester.
