"What means most to me in life is my family. My father is very hard nosed and strict when it comes to school. My mother is Filipino and she has taught me to be caring and compassionate. More than anything, the accomplishment that I am most proud of is overcoming the loss of my mother. In May of 2000, she passed away due to breast cancer. This was the single worst event of my life, but I knew I would overcome it. The world that I live in makes me believe in myself and inspires me to try my best in everything I do."
